Alumni Meet @ SSE Mukka

The Alumni Association Meet of Srinivas School of Engineering was held on 11th February 2018 in the college auditorium.

After registration, and a welcome drink, the formal stage program commenced at 11:15 am. The Invocation was rendered by Mr. Shailendra Prabhu. A throwback of old memories and revisiting them was done through a collection of photographs of the various activities held over the past 8 years displayed in the form of a short movie created by Mr Vishwas Shetty of the Mechanical Engineering Dept. Dr Praveen, HOD of Chemistry department welcomed the gathering and gave an insight into the Srinivas University. He briefed about the advantages of the university and asked them to spread the news among their relatives and friends. The inauguration of the Alumni Association and the Alumni Meet was done by lighting the lamp by the Alumni.

The Alumni coordinator, Prof Rohan Fernandez gave a fleeting outline about the need of the association and how we can take it forward with the help of the alumni.
There was a round of introductions and a few students came forward to share their experiences and memories of their time spent in the college. They were pleased with the progress of the college and the founding of the Alumni Association.

Dr. Ramakrishna Hegde, Vice Principal & Head, Civil Engineering Dept, the president of the function, gave the presidential remarks and urged the students to give back to the alma mater in the form of helping present students to secure good jobs. This was followed by the vote of thanks by Dr. Suma Bhat, Head, Mechanical Engineering Dept.

A photo session commenced immediately of the students and respective departments. This was admirably dealt with by Mr Krishna Kaushik form the Dept of E & C and Mr Yoga Narasimha Reddy, a student of the I year. Following the photo shoot, the students once again gathered and decided to nominate Mr Ashray Shetty, an alumnus of the batch of 2010 as the Secretary of the association who was felicitated with a bouquet. The members of the Rotaract club conducted a series of group games to entertain the guests. Lunch was served to the alumni and staff after which there was a dance session. The program ended at 2:30 pm. A total of 54 alumni took part in the meet.

The Compères of the program were Ms. Shanel Pinto & Ms. Alfiya from the Dept of CSE.
