The B. Tech. degree in Civil Engineering at the Srinivas University, apart from offering common core subjects, extends to its graduates the flexibility to select from a wide range of elective subjects, which enables them to gain domain knowledge and practice-oriented learning in the key aspects of Civil Engineering—as well as newer academic insights into the salient advancements and emerging technologies. Electives thus offered aim at equipping graduates with the skills and expertise required to the present construction Industry; optimizing the use of man ,material and equipment’s with the latest methods of construction techniques. Use of Computers for the design and drawing of the various civil engineering structures, with advanced software are given  the importance while framing the course structure.

Admission Eligibility:

Admission to the B.Tech programme in any year will be based on the results of Srinivas University Entrance Examination (SUEE) in that year.

A pass in the 10+2 (Higher Secondary) examination or any other equivalent examination of any authority, recognized by this University, with a minimum 50% aggregate of marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.


 

Job Prospectus

Civil engineers design, build, supervise, operate, and maintain construction projects and systems in the public and private sector, including roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, and systems for water supply and sewage treatment. Many civil engineers work in design, construction, research, and education.

Civil engineers work in a variety of locations and conditions. When working on designs, civil engineers may spend most of their time indoors in offices. However, construction engineers may spend much of their time outdoors at construction sites monitoring operations or solving onsite problems. Some jobs may require frequent relocation to different areas and offices in job site trailers.

Civil engineers who function as project managers may work from cars or trucks as they move from site to site. Many civil engineers work for governments agencies in government office buildings or facilities. Occasionally, civil engineers travel abroad to work on large engineering projects in other countries.
