About Industrial Nano-Biotechnology:

Srinivas University’s Industrial Nano-Biotechnology PG program under Srinivas Centre for Nano Science and Technology (SCNT) is an innovation in modern education system. Nano-Biotechnology is the application of nanotechnology in biological fields. Nanotechnology is a multidisciplinary field that currently recruits approach, technology and facility available in conventional as well as advanced avenues of engineering, physics, chemistry and biology. Nano-Biotechnology has multitude of potentials for advancing medical science thereby improving health care practices around the world. Many novel nanoparticles and nanodevices are expected to be used, with an enormous positive impact on human health. A significant number of promising medical projects are in an advanced experimental stage. Implementation of nanotechnology in medicine and physiology means that mechanisms and devices are so technically designed that they can interact with sub-cellular (i.e. molecular) levels of the body with a high degree of specificity. Thus therapeutic efficacy can be achieved to maximum with minimal side effects by means of the targeted cell or tissue-specific clinical intervention. At present there are more than 2000 industries working on nanotechnology and its applications. The present industrial revolution in nanotechnology needs the well trained man power to meet the need. The goal of this program is to train students by incorporating industrial training in the curriculum.

Special Features of the Program:

  • First time introduced in India
  • Industry oriented syllabus with special focus on experimental learning.
  • Opportunity to visit various industries and organizations.
  • One full semester industrial training in Nanotechnology based industries, Biotech labs, Pharmaceutical industries, cosmetic industries, Medical colleges, and other related industries.
  • MOU with industries to get students trained in the field of Nano-Biotechnology through certificate programs / workshops
  • Mini projects in each semester.
  • E-Study material will be provided from the college for every subject according to the syllabus.
  • Innovations in examination system with opportunity for personal seeing of evaluated papers.
  • 50% weightage of marks on continuous evaluation and 50% weightage on semester end exam.
  • Make-up exams in every semester to avoid year loss.
  • Placement support and research oriented projects for every student.
  • Focus on smart skill development & training on competitive exams.
  • Separate Hostel & Transport facility for boys & Girls.
  • Further Opportunity to do dual degree (PG + MBA) & Ph.D. programmes.
  • Dynamic, qualified and friendly teaching faculty.
  • Foreign Education trip & training certification opportunity during last semester to explore further study/job.

 Career Opportunities:

Since the students are well trained in industry during the PG programme, they have foremost opportunity to continue as an employ in the same or related industries. Opportunity to work as Research assistant, Junior and Senior Fellowships (JRF and SRF) in majour central based and private institutes, research centres, and industries. Teaching opportunities in government and private institutions. MS, MPhil, and PhD courses in India and abroad.
