Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D is a distinguished academic leader and administrator with over three decades of experience in industry, teaching, and academic governance. As Registrar (Evaluation) at Srinivas University, he drives examination reforms, research mentorship, and academic integrity. A Mechanical Engineer with a Ph.D. in Organizational Behaviour, he has guided several scholars, published extensively, and authored books. Blending industry insights with academic expertise, Dr. Mayya is widely respected for fostering research culture, innovation, and institutional growth.
Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D is an eminent academician, researcher, and administrator with over three decades of experience spanning industry, teaching, and academic leadership. He currently serves as Registrar (Evaluation) at Srinivas University, Mangalore, where he oversees evaluation systems, academic integrity, and examination reforms in alignment with national standards.
Dr. Mayya graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Mysore University in 1988, followed by a master’s degree from Pune University in 1994. He went on to earn his Ph.D. from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) in the field of Organizational Behaviour under the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Beginning his career in industry, Dr. Mayya worked as a Design Engineer at PMT Machine Tools, Pune, and later as Assistant Manager at Advani Oerlikon Ltd., Pune. In 1995, he transitioned into academics and went on to serve for over two decades at KVG College of Engineering, Sullia, where he rose to the position of Principal. In 2021, he joined Srinivas University as Registrar (Evaluation).
A dedicated researcher, Dr. Mayya has guided 5 Ph.D. scholars and 12 M. Tech students, with several of them successfully awarded degrees. He has published 54 research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences and is the author of 5 books. His contributions also extend to consulting and applied research projects.
Dr. Mayya has held several prestigious academic and administrative positions, including:
