BSc in Medical Laboratory Technology is offered at Srinivas School of Allied Health Sciences, under Srinivas University, Mangalore. This program is concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases through the use of clinical laboratory tests. Students receive a stimulating, challenging and supportive academic experience during the course.
Two year Pre- University examination or equivalent from a recognized University or Board with physics, Chemistry and Biology as principle subject of study Syllabus is implemented as per National –Education Policy (NEP)

Lecturer /Lecturer/Assistant prof in paramedical colleges, blood bank supervisor/technical officer, Phlebotomist, Quality manager- also as Laboratory safety officer Our MLT students clinical requirement is fulfilled by a well-established Central Diagnostic Laboratory blood bank and molecular lab (PCR), which is attached to Tertiary care Srinivas super speciality Hospital which provides a wide exposure to the aspiring candidates .Once a student satisfactorily completes all 6 semesters, he/she has to undergo compulsory 12 months rotatory internship divided in 2 semesters. Quality procedures, Standard Operating Procedures & Laboratory safety is managed by well – trained staff technologists & faculty members .Highly qualified medical doctors and Allied Health Post graduated /PhD teachers to handle theory and practical classes Clinical skill tests are considered as integral part of evaluation tool for MLT internship students. Updating knowledge is our prime concern. So we encourage students to expose variety of educational activities like seminar, CME, Workshops and conferences. We always make healthy changes time to time
(1) University Registration Fee, Eligibility Fee for other State/NRI students, Examination Fee, Uniform Fee, Hostel Fee, Industry visit fee, Internship fee, Transportation fee, Sports & games fee, Extra-curricular activity fee, etc., are extra. The course fees mentioned for subsequent years may vary annually up to 6%. (2) The University Placement & Training Team will assist the admitted students to get (a) Earn While Learn, (b) Industry Internship, and (c) Final Job Placement. (3) Karnataka Quota* : 1. Applicable only to Karnataka students having 50% or more in the applicable subject combination. 2. To be considered as Karnataka domicile student should have studied 7 years including PUC in the Karnataka.
