B.Sc. Hotel Management (with added specialization in Aviation and Travel Tourism – 3 year program)

The B.Sc. in Hotel Management with a specialization in Aviation and Travel Tourism, offered by the Institute of Hotel Management & Tourism at Srinivas University, is a 3-year program crafted to develop future-ready professionals in the hospitality, aviation, and tourism sectors.   • Planning, organizing, and executing events, including conferences, weddings and social gatherings.

  • Understanding cleaning procedures, maintaining guest rooms and public areas thereby ensuring hygiene standards.
  • Strategies for maximizing hotel revenue including pricing, occupancy and demand forecasting.
  • Hiring, training and managing hotel staff including performance evaluations and employee relations.
  • Developing strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with guests and colleagues.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the hospitality industry.
  • For those interested in food and beverage gaining practical skills in cooking, food preparation and presentation.

Course Syllabus
  • Each semester consists of 24 credit points and a total of 600 marks.
  • The first semester focuses on Basic knowledge and understanding of different department in the industry that is F & B Production, F & B Service and Front office Operations with both theoretical and practical knowledge also providing the knowledge about French language.
  • The second semester focuses on better understanding and hands on practices about the hotel Industry.
  • The third semester F & B Culinary department focuses on various Indian cuisine speciality, in housekeeping focus on different cleaning agents & etiquettes, F & B Service department focus on basic Mocktails and Table etiquettes.
  • The fourth semester F & B Culinary department focuses on various regional cuisine speciality of India in housekeeping focus on making rooms. F & B Service department focus on Mixology the art and science of preparing and mixing cocktails and other beverages.
  • The fifth semester F & B Culinary department focus on more Airline catering menu, including Bakery breakfast menu. F & B Service department focus on serving inside the airline. Along with that providing the basic knowledge about Air Transportation safety & Security, Principles of Airlines, Entrepreneurship and Travel and Tourism Management.
  • The Sixth The fifth semester focuses on the job training in different specialities in Hotel Industry. students for supervisory level with adequate knowledge.

Course Eligibility

Candidates for admission to the programme shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary/ Pre-University examinations (10+2) from state or central board or equivalent examination and obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
