The main objectives of an MD Radiodiagnosis program are to train skilled radiologists who can independently conduct and interpret various conventional and advanced imaging studies, manage radiation protection, organize and conduct research, demonstrate teaching abilities, and adhere to medical ethics. Graduates should be competent to provide high-quality diagnostic and interventional services in various medical specialties, including musculoskeletal, neuro, gastrointestinal, and cardiovascular radiology, and effectively use imaging in clinical practice.

The MD Radiodiagnosis course focuses on specialized medical imaging techniques like X-rays, CT, MRI, and ultrasound to diagnose various conditions. Key features include mastering image interpretation, performing image-guided procedures (such as biopsies), collaborating with other specialists for accurate diagnoses, and understanding the physics behind imaging technologies and patient safety protocols. The program also emphasizes specific applications in anatomy, pathology, and physiology, and includes research, teaching, and quality assurance aspects.

The MD Radiodiagnosis syllabus covers Radiation Physics, the physics of various imaging modalities (X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine), and the radiological diagnosis of different body systems including musculoskeletal, thoracic, abdominal, genitourinary, central nervous, and cardiovascular systems. It also includes image interpretation and processing techniques, radiation biology and protection, and interventional radiology procedures.
