Dr. Kumar began his career in 2001 as a Lecturer at Srinivas College of Physiotherapy. With dedication and academic excellence, he rose through the ranks as Assistant Professor, Professor, and now Registrar (Development) of Srinivas University.

Over the years, he has guided numerous postgraduate students in research, examined undergraduate and postgraduate courses across Karnataka, and actively contributed to curriculum development.

Dr. Kumar has a rich research portfolio, with impactful studies in orthopedics, biomechanics, sports medicine, and rehabilitation sciences. His notable work includes:

• Utilization of the RULA Assessment Tool in occupational health research.
• Development of a regression equation for slump value and hamstring tightness.
• Studies on the effect of fatigue on foot biomechanics.
• Research on cognition and Berg Balance Scale (BBS) in age-matched cohorts.
• Establishing normative values for functional reach tests in pediatrics.
• Investigating the impact of turf and footwear on marathon athletes.
• Research on laser therapy and wound healing.

His published works include papers on neuropathic pain (S-LANSS adaptation in Kannada, 2021), temporomandibular joint disorders in swimmers (2021), shoulder injury risks in cricket fast bowlers (2019), and kinesio taping for knee valgus correction (2018) among others.
