Overview:

M.Sc in Cardiac Catheterization and Intervention is offered at Srinivas Institute of Allied Health Sciences, under Srinivas University, Mangalore. This program is concerned with the assistance of cardiologists during various invasive interventional cardiovascular procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab including angioplasty, device implantation and electrophysiology. Students receive a stimulating, challenging, and supportive academic experience during the course

Objectives:

The main objective of a Cardiac Catheterization & Intervention course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to perform basic and advanced Cardiac Catheterization & Intervention.
To equip on the anatomy and physiology of the heart and circulatory system, as well as the various diagnostic tools and techniques used in the field.
Learning the pathophysiology, types and various diagnostic tests and treatment procedures used to diagnose cardiovascular disease.
In addition to technical skills, Cardiac Catheterization & Intervention course may also emphasize the importance of patient care, communication, and professionalism. Graduates of this program may go on to work in hospitals, clinics, or private practices, where they will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular disease.
Understanding the role of Cardiac Catheterization & Intervention technologists in the healthcare team, including their responsibilities in patient care, education, and monitoring. Developing the technical skills necessary to operate and maintain the equipment used in cardiovascular testing and treatment.
Understanding the importance of patient safety and ethical considerations in the field of cardiovascular technology.

Eligibility

:

A pass in B.Sc CVT/CCT course from any recognized institution or University.
B.Sc CVT/CCT through correspondence course shall not be eligible.
