Master of Sciences in Emergency Medical Technology is a 2-year course designed to provide in depth knowledge & impart skills for working as an assistant to the Interventional cardiologist in cardiac catheterization laboratory. The course is designed as a full-time residency program with responsibilities in managing the patients. The Post graduate student must take part in seminars, short topic discussions, case discussions, journal club presentations and clinical postings. The Academic training also includes lab work, experimental work and Dissertation. Students will be posted in Emergency, ICU, Pediatrics, orthopedics, O&G where the students can acquire knowledge. All the advanced EMT procedures will be taught during the two years. By the completion of two years students will be through in all cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• To equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to assess, manage, and provide comprehensive care for trauma patients using evidence-based practices. This course will emphasize rapid assessment, critical decision-making, and the application of advanced trauma management techniques in pre-hospital and hospital settings.
Perform systematic trauma assessments using primary and secondary survey protocols.
Apply advanced airway management and ventilatory support techniques.
Recognize and manage life-threatening injuries using trauma resuscitation protocols.
Demonstrate proficiency in fluid resuscitation, hemorrhage control, and management of shock.
Apply principles of trauma radiology and imaging for diagnostic purposes.
2 Years
To be eligible for an MSc in Emergency Medical Technology, Candidate shall have passed a B.Sc. Accident & Emergency Care Technology (AECT)/ Trauma Care Technology (TCM)/ Emergency & Trauma Care Technology (ETCT)/Critical Care Technology (CCT)/Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology (AOTT)/ Respiratory Therapy Technology (RTT) (regular mode) from a UGC-recognized University.
