ORIENTATION PROGRAMME 2017-18 BATCH

College of Allied Health Sciences, Srinivas University conducted the Orientation Programme for the new batch of students (2017-18) to ensure a smooth transition into a new world of professional education. The programme was conducted on the 11th October, 2017 at 10:30 am in the auditorium. The programme was intended to familiarize the students to the facilities and services offered by the college and also to alleviate any queries and apprehension about studies, curriculum, work, and examinations. The programme was presided by Dr. Anil Kumar, Registrar, Srinivas University. Dr. Udaya Kumar Rao, Dean SIMS & RC, Dr. Salauddin Arif K, Medical Superintendent Srinivas Hospital, Dr. Sathyajith Karanth, HOD of Anaesthesiology Dr. Pradeep Vernekar, HOD of General Medicine, and Dr. Ravi Bhaskar, Chief Co-ordinator AHS was also present on the dais. Dr. Udaya Kumar Rao, Dean, SIMS & RC gave the welcome address and stressed on the importance of discipline and the strict measures against ragging in the campus. Dr. Ravi Bhaskar, Chief Co-ordinator College of Allied Health Sciences, Srinivas University oriented the students to the course curriculum, and shed light on the structure of the courses. Dr. Salauddin Arif, Dr. Pradeep Vernekar and Dr. Sathyajith Karanth had given motivational speeches to elate the spirits of the students and parents who have travelled from far to see off their wards entering a new phase of life. Dr. Anil Kumar, Registrar, Srinivas University gave the presidential address. The vote of thanks was given by Mr. Binoy K Kuriakose, Lecturer, Department of Respiratory Care Technology and the programme ended with the National Anthem. Followed by the programme, lunch was arranged for students, their parents and staff members. After the lunch session students were made into groups and taken to visit various departments of college and hospital.
