A National Level Inter-Collegiate PG Management Fest MAGMA – 2022 was held at Srinivas University Institute of Management and Commerce, Pandeshwar, Mangalore dated 13th and 14th May 2022. The Two Day Management Festival held under the Patronage of Srinivas University Honourable Chancellor CA. Dr. A. Raghavendra Rao and Pro-Chancellor Dr. A. Raghavendra Rao outlined professional development in students through progressing various challenges in career by instancing his own work and accomplishments. Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Srinivas University Dr. P. S. Aithal remarked it is festivals like these that build practical competencies among students. Registrar Development of Srinivas University Dr. Ajay Kumar was present on the occasion. MAGMA management festival covers a wide array of business functionalities in simulation for which this year is based on Super Heroes. Video Making skills was imparted to MBA students on 11th May, 2022 through a workshop. As part of their curriculum students have to shoot video interviews and make documentary videos and well as video resumes. This workshop helped equip them with new age skills for employability. College of Computer Science and Information Science helped in organizing this with the help of their resource persons. Prof. Keerthan Raj organized and coordinated the workshop.
A guest talk on Intellectual Property Rights was organized on 25th April, 20220 for MBA students, and they were informed and guided how to apply for copyright. The Department of BBA (HN) organized a guest lecture on “Qualities of Sales Manager” by Mr. Sandesh S.N, Associate Vice President, Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance company Ltd for I BBA (HN) students, on 06/04/2022. Srinivas University College of Management and Commerce organized a Budget Analysis Programme – Voice of Young India on the Union Budget 2022 – A panel discussion in the pandeshwar campus on 4th February, 2022. The programme was intended for the MBA students and it began with a presentation on the budget by the students.The budget analysis was organized under the patronage of chancellor and president of A. Shama Rao Foundation, Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao who presided over the programme and inaugurated` it by lighting the lamp. He was joined by the pro- chancellor, Srinivas University and vice-president of A Shama Rao Foundation, Dr A Srinivas Rao. The eminent speakers gave their insights to the budget in an explicit manner in a lengthy discussion which was telecast live in You tube which attracted many virtual participants as well. A two hour online session on "Instrument Development” was organized for the research scholars of College of Management & Commerce on 26th February, the resource person was Prof. Dr. Dileep Kumar M., Pro.Vice Chancellor, Gopal Narayan Singh University & Director, Strategy, Research & Innovation, NFCT, Malaysia, which was attended by around 122 registered participants.
146 participants were part of an excellent quality Inbound activities which was held on February 23 to 26. The students were equally divided into 4 batches. Students gained knowledge on survival strategy and etiquettes, where In Prof. S.Swaminathan Srinivas University, college of Hotel management & tourism explained how to behave in a restaurant. where sir summarised few of the rules , that is fork and knife usage, knowing your cutlery and glasses. Use a polite words even in arguments. Students gained knowledge on Rescue mechanisms & postural awareness. DR. Prem Kumar and Tamilalagan from Institute of Physiotherapy were the resource persons. where in students were thought how to deal in panicking situation. Students were thought few steps regarding the same . to check the present situation, to call on emergency numbers .Also students were benefited with yoga for wellbeing. Dr. Padmanabha, Institute of Education was the resource person where he thought students how yoga would benefit their life. He also thought various yoga forms for the same Students were benefited with strategic moves to win. Mrs. Supriya Adiga, Physical Director was the resource person, where students enjoyed playing carrom and chess. students develop strategic thinking ability as to how they can implement this in their real life . Students gained lot of knowledge from these inbound activities which can be implemented in corporate world.

On 14th December 2021, as a part of celebrating National Energy Conservation Day, College of Commerce and Management, Srinivas University, has organized an Online pledge campaign at 11.00 am for BCom and BBA students to take energy conservation pledge. We took the pledge through Teachmint virtual platform in two consecutive sessions in order to accommodate the students of both BBA and BCom. Nearly 100 students were participated in taking pledge. Department of B.Com Honors ACCA and CMA, College of Management and Commerce, Srinivas University had organized Rangoli Competition on 2nd November Tuesday 2021. Students showcased their talent and creativity through Rangoli Competition on the occasion of Deepavali. Students were enthusiastically participated. The theme for the competition was given as “Deepavali” and undoubtedly students tried to touch various concepts under the theme and exhibit their creativity. The competition was held under the supervision of Prof. Keerthan Raj, Dean of Management and Commerce Studies, Prof. Sharmila S Shetty and Prof. Yashaswi, Course Coordinators of B.Com department, Prof. Vinutha & Prof. Souparnika, Cultural Co-ordinators. The competition was huge success. Dr. Laveena D’Mello, Dean and Dr. Vidya N, Associate Professor - College of Social Sciences and Humanities, Srinivas University were the judges of the event.
On 27th November, the department of B.Com, College of Management and Commerce organised a Farewell Day for their seniors. Farewell is basically a get together kind of celebration for the seniors who will be soon stepping out of that particular institute.
