The Regional Conference on Environmental Health commenced at 10:30 AM with an invocation song performed by Anjana M. and her team. Gopika welcomed the attendees, setting a positive tone for the day. The lighting of the lamp in honor of the founder of the Srinivas Group symbolized the beginning of the event.Dr. N.M. Jose, Dean of SUINS, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the profound impact of environmental factors on public health. Following his insights, Dr. Anilkumar, Registrar of Srinivas University Mukka, presented a scholarly talk focused on soil and water contamination due to plastic waste and discussed effective waste management strategies.The plenary session commenced at 11:00 AM, featuring several esteemed speakers: Mrs. Amudha Valli, Assistant Professor at Srinivas Institute of Nursing Science, Valachil, spoke on air pollution and control measures. Mrs. Celastin Susan, Associate Professor at Lombard Memorial College of Nursing, Udupi, delivered a thought-provoking speech on Climate and Global Warming. Mrs. Reena, Assistant Professor at SUINS, Mukka, addressed the issue of agricultural pollution.The master of ceremonies for the event was handled by Ms. Gloriya Shaiju and Ms. Namitha, who ensured the proceedings ran smoothly.At the conclusion of the talks, mementoes were presented to the external resource persons, alongside certificates and reimbursement for travel expenses.
