REPORT ON FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMM TOPIC: STEERING THE GEN Z ERA The Faculty Development Program (FDP) for the year 2025 commenced on 15th January with an insightful keynote session on the topic “Steering the Gen Z Era” by Mrs. Asha N. The event began with an introduction of the resource person by Mrs. Anjali Mendonca, Assistant Professor., Mrs. Asha N, an Assistant Professor & Psychologist at the Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Srinivas University, Mangalore, shared her vast experience working with young people, particularly in the areas of counselling, therapy, and special needs education. During her keynote, Mrs. Asha N addressed the challenges and opportunities educators face when working with Generation Z. She provided strategies and activities like 4- 7- 8 counting breathing , box breathing , 5-4-3-2-1 grounding technique, designed to engage and support this demographic, emphasizing the importance of adapting to their unique needs and behaviours.Professor Deepa Daniel presented a memento in recognition of her valuable contributions.The ceremony concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, symbolizing the collective commitment to education and empowerment.
