An Airport visit to Mandakalli airport, Mysore– 571311 Karnataka was organized by the BBA Aviation Department of Srinivas University for Final year students on Saturday, 19 October 2019. The team of thirty-six of Aviation students and two faculties visited Mandakalli airport, Mysore, which helped them to understand current scenarios in Airport, and also knowing about the Airport system, etc. In this visit, students were very eagerly waiting for listening to Airport higher authorities. At 11:00 am we visited Mandakalli airport, Mysore. We divided our students in the batch of 12 students per batch for the visit and the interaction with the Airport in-charge person. The Airport Department Head conducted a very informative and motivational session for the students. He also guided the students towards terminal points, Runway and ATC room (Air traffic control room). He gave a brief introduction of how ATC works Finally, we left the Airport at 2.00 p.m. It was an informative, interesting and successful visit. As students of Aviation Department Srinivas University, they got practical knowledge of the Airport and things we find at the airport. As part of tour students also visited several places in Mysore like Chamundi hills, KRS Dam, Mysore palace, etc and the tour also continued towards Bangalore to wonderla water park We express our thanks to all team members of Mysore Airport who spent their valuable time for us. I also thank our respected Principal Dr. P.S Aithal and Course Coordinator of Aviation Prof Pavithra Kumari for motivating us to arrange such an informative program.
