Drawing Competition at Institute of Aviation Studies

Artistry and creativity converged at the Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University as students demonstrated their remarkable talents in the annual Drawing and Coloring Competition. The event, held on, 21 Oct 2023 served as a canvas for students to translate their artistic visions into a colorful, vibrant reality. The institute’s designated art spaces were filled with students armed with pencils, brushes, and an array of colors, each eager to bring their artistic imagination to life.The competition invited participants to explore the theme of drug abuse, enabling them to use art as a medium for both creative expression and social commentary. The entries covered a wide spectrum of emotions, ranging from haunting portrayals of addiction's grip to hopeful visions of recovery. The artwork not only showcased the students' artistic skills but also served as a reminder of the profound impact of drug abuse on individuals and communities.The Drawing Competition was coordinated by the cultural coordinator of the Institute, Mrs. Aishwarya Shetty and Ms. Sapthami. A panel of judges, composed of art faculty members and accomplished local artists, had the crucial task of evaluating the entries. They scrutinized the technical aspects of the artworks, including composition, shading, and use of color, as well as the depth of emotion, conceptual strength, and originality. After careful deliberation, the winners were announced. The first place was bagged by Malavika V V (I year B.B.A Aviation and Logistics Management) and Mohammad Adil ( I year B.B.A Aviation Management) secured the second place. The Art Exhibition on the theme of drug abuse not only celebrated the artistic talents of Institute of Aviation Studies students but also highlighted their commitment to raising awareness about this critical issue. As the event ended, it left behind a legacy of powerful artwork that will continue to inspire viewers and encourage dialogue about the pressing problem of drug abuse within the college community and society at large.
