Artists at the Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University unveiled their talents and creativity in a Pencil Sketch Competition that transformed their campus into an art gallery. Held on 20 Oct, 2023, for the students of B.B.A and M.B.A Aviation Studies. The competition offered students a platform to showcase their artistic skills and imagination through the elegant medium of pencil sketches.The theme for the competition was Mothers Love. This facilitated the students to explore and express their creativity through the medium of sketches which went beyond the realm of mere art and became emotional expressions, each telling a unique story of love, sacrifice, and the profound bond between a mother and her child. The Pencil Sketch Competition was coordinated by the cultural coordinator of the Institute, Mrs. Aishwarya Shetty, and Ms. Sapthami. The panel of judges, including art faculty members and professional artists, had the challenging task of evaluating the entries. They assessed the technical aspects, such as shading and proportions, as well as the overall aesthetic appeal and originality of each sketch. After careful deliberation, the winners were announced. From the U.G category Praseeja C (III year B.B.A. Aviation Management) secured first place and Mohammed Adil (I year B.B.A Aviation Management) claimed second place. From the P.G category Ajsal K (I year M.B.A. Aviation Management) was announced as the winner and Durgavva Irappa Ambali (I year M.B.A. Aviation Management) was the runner-up.The pencil sketch competition on the theme of Mother's Love, not only celebrated the artistic talents of Aviation students but also served as a moving tribute to the love, care, and sacrifices of mothers. As the event concluded, it left behind a legacy of touching sketches that will continue to inspire viewers and remind everyone of the extraordinary bonds between mothers and their children.
