Srinivas University, Institute of Aviation Studies Organised Face Painting Competition on the Theme: 'Say No to Drugs and Its Evil Practices' The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, organized a Face Painting Competition on 16th July 2025 as part of an anti-drug awareness initiative under the Anti-Drug Committee. This initiative was conducted in response to a suggestion by the Mangaluru City Police to spread awareness and reduce the risk of drug abuse among youth. The event was successfully conducted with the constant support of Dr. Pavithra Kumari, Dean; Ms. Anjana T. V, Head of the Department and other Faculty members. A total of 47 teams participated in the competition, including 44 teams from BBA Aviation Management and BBA Aviation and Logistics Management and 3 teams from MBA Aviation Management. The theme of the competition was “Say No to Drugs and Its Evil Practices.” Participants were encouraged to convey strong anti-drug messages through the art of face painting. Additionally, students held placards with anti-drug slogans at the campus entrance, enhancing the event’s visibility and impact. In the Undergraduate Category, first place was won by Ms. Gloriya Gabriel Noronha and Ms. Martha Martin Fernandes from II Year BBA Aviation Management. Second place was secured by Ms. Deeksha Puthran and Ms. Pragathi Prakash Acharya from I Year BBA Aviation Management. In the Postgraduate Category, Mr. Sharon John D’silva and Ms. Nejha P. H. from I Year MBA Aviation Management secured first place. The competition served as a creative and socially responsible platform for students to express their views and stand united in the fight against drug abuse. It combined artistic expression with meaningful advocacy, resonating strongly with the younger generation.
