FACULTY ACHIEVEMENTS:

Dean Mr. Swaminathan.S of Srinivas University Institute of hotel management and tourism has been appointed as BOARD OF APPOINTED EXAMINERS( B.O. A. E) by Mangalore University w.e.f. 7/2/2022.

Prof.Swaminathan Dean has been nominated as a Member to the list of Subject Matter Expert Committees for Hotel Management Course( for N.E.P.) as per Government Order No.ED 260 UNE 2019(part-1), Bengaluru Dated 21.08.2021 issued by Smt.Sheetal M Hiremath, Under Secretary to Government, (University-1), Department of Higher Education, Government of Karnataka

STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS:

Students of Institute of Hotel Management actively participated in cruise hospitality service on 2.12.2022 at New Mangalore Port Authority by providing assistance in medical screening of passengers, immigration and customs counters. Cultural program portraying local folklore and traditions of the region was performed by students and was well appreciated by tourists and NMPA. Vessel name: SEVEN SEAS EXPLORER.

Fifth and Third Semester students of our Institute successfully completed Ten days of on the job experience at aurika hotels Madikeri. General Manager Mr. Sanjay Pandita, F&B Manager Mr. Divyanshu and other staff appreciated the students for their performance. Institute has thanked the respective head of the hotel for providing an opportunity to the budding Hospitality professionals.

RANK NEWS

Ms. Aysha M and Ms. Darshitha Jamuna C P students of Srinivas Institute of Hotel Management have secured 2nd and 3rd Rank respectively in 4 years Bachelor of Hotel Management degree programme offered by Mangalore University. These students are 2016-2020 batch and was a consistent performer throughout their student life. At present Ms. Aysha M is doing Higher Studies and Ms. Darshitha Jamuna C P is employed with Serene Woods, Madikeri as Chef.

SDM COLLEGE COMPETITION

An Inter collegiate competition was conducted by SDM college, 7th March 2020 Mangalore. Students from Srinivas University, Institute of Hotel Management & Tourism and BBA Aviation students won first prize in Folk dance competition.

RANGOLI COMPETITION

Our students participated in Inter Collegiate Rangoli competition held on 11th august 2018 in Mangalore. Ms. Shetty Ashita Amit, Ms. Swapnika Choudhary and Ms. K. Ashritha won the second place.

Ms. Namitha Ayilliath student of Srinivas Institute of Hotel Management had secured Ist Rank in 4 years Bachelor of Hotel Management degree programme offered by Mangalore University. She is the student of 2015-2019 batch and was a consistent performer through out her student life. At present Ms.Namitha Ayilliath is employed with Renaissance, Bangaluru as HR Associate.

FOUNDERS DAY CELEBRATION ON 14th FEBRUARY 2019

The College day & Founders Day of Srinivas University & Srinivas Group of Colleges was held on 14th February, 2019. Prof. Karnam Uma Maheshwar Rao, Director, National Institute of Technology, Surathkal was the chief guest of the program. Dr. A. Srinivas Rao, Pro Chancellor of Srinivas University & Vice President of the Srinivas Group of colleges, presided over the function.

ADRENALINE 2K19

Our Team comprising of Mr. Sumanth K, Mr. Jeevith, Mr. Linith, Mr. Manvith Shetty and Mr. Akshay won the second place in mad adds at Adrenaline 2K19 which was conducted on 18th February 2019 to 21st February 2019. Our students also participated in Photography, Eastern Singing, JAM, Pencil Sketching, Creative writing, Sudoku, Solo Dancing, Pot Pourri, Mad Ads, Movie making etc.

AGNO FEST SEMESTA

Mr. Abhinandan K.A of 1V semester BHMCT won second place in Mock Press at “Agno fest Semesta. Our students also participated in events like quiz, treasure hunt, movie making, cooking competitions.

Mr Aniketh Pawar (Student BHMCT V Sem) and Mr Shibin Devasia (Student BScHM V sem) participated in the Cocktail and Mocktail Making Competition 'Infinity' organized by Laxmi Memorial Institute of Hotel Management on 24th August 2019

FOOD-O-GRAPHY COMPETITION

Food-O-Graphy competition was conducted on 22nd February 2019 by the Food Production Department of the College. Wherein the students prepare the food items, present it and photograph the presentation. Mr. Tilak Shetty, Mr. Harshith Kumar, Mr. Sanath Kumar of IV semester BSc.HM won the First Place. The Second Place was bagged by Ms. Divya, Ms. Anjali and Mr. Sharath from IV semester BSc.HM.

MRPL ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION

Mr. Akash Naik (Student BHMCT 3rd sem) & Ms. Arya savan(Student BHMCT 1st sem) participated in the Essay Writing Competition conducted by MRPL in the campus of St. Aloysious college Mangalore on August 20th, 2019.The competition was held in view of promotion of National Language among the student fraternity of the country.
