Srinivas University and Srinivas group of Institutions Founders day and College day was celebrated on 14th February 2024 at Srinivas University, Mukka campus, Mangaluru. Dr. CA A. Raghavendra Rao, Chancellor of Srinivas University presided over the programme. Mr. Sucheth DSouza, zonal manager, Bank of Maharashtra and Dr. U.T. Ifthikar Ali, syndicate member of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences were the chief guests present on this occasion. Guests of honour Dr. A Srinivas Rao, Pro-chancellor of Srinivas University and Vice-president of A. Shama Rao Foundation, Mangalore, Trustee members Board of Governors of Srinivas University, Smt. A. Vijayalakshmi R. Rao and Prof. Er. A. Mitra S Rao were also present.Nine distinguished personalities were honoured and awarded with A. Shama Rao memorial awards for their significant contribution and achievement in various fields of teaching, social service, astrology, fine arts and photography. Faculty of Institute of Physiotherapy, Dr. Thrishala Noronha, Associate Professor and Dr. Aishwarya Nitin Sonwane, Assistant Professor were felicitated during this occasion for their International research paper presentation at World Physiotherapy Congress, Dubai. UG and PG students also were felicitated for their outstanding achievements in Academics and clinics for the year 2023-24.There were various cultural performances arranged in which students of Institute of Physiotherapy also participated and showcased their talents and added colour into the celebrations.
