Eligibility
• Those who have passed MA in Sanskrit from any Indian or Foreign Universities.
• Those who have passed Vidwath-Uttama, Shiromani, Acharya or any other equivalent course from any University or Sanskrit Mahavidyalayas.
• Those who passed Post – Graduation in any Medical Sciences (Ayurveda, Allopathy, Homeopathy, Unani, Siddha, etc) or MA in Yoga with Ist year Diploma in Sanskrit – Srinivasa Bharathi - I.
Duration:
(i) Minimum three years and maximum five years for regulars;
(ii) Minimum four years and maximum six years for part-timers.
The scholars registering for the degree of Ph.D. shall select a topic of their selection and do vigorous study and research. The outcome of their study will be submitted as a thesis to the Srinivas Vishwavidyalaya within 3 years of their registration. By this they themselves expand their knowledge and contribute to the widening of our ancient language. By developing research aptitude and independent thinking, research scholars become proficient users of Sanskrit language which helps for extensive research level study in Sanskrit. This will help build a Sanskrit scholastic community well versed in both traditional as well as modern outlook and temperament with research ability.
