REPORT ON TWO DAY HANDS ON WORKSHOP ON DRY NEEDLING TECHNIQUES IN CLINICAL REHABILITATION

Institute of Physiotherapy, Srinivas University organized two day hands on workshop on Dry Needling Techniques in Clinical Rehabilitation on 23.11.2024 and 24.11.2024 at Hotel Srinivas Saffron, Hampankatta, Manglauru. Dr. Prem Venkatesan PhD, Professor, MAHE, Bangalore Campus was the resource person. Dean Incharge Dr. Thrishala Noronha inaugurated the workshop by welcoming the resource person and participants with the message of importance of dry needling for treating various pain related conditions in physiotherapy field. 33 participants including 12 faculty members and 10 MPT I year students, 5 interns and 6 DPT final year students had attended the workshop. Theory knowledge and hands on practical demonstrations were effectively taught by the resource person. Participants learned the new important skill of dry needling practical application with base theoretical knowledge. This skill learning workshop got great feedback by the participants and they urged the organising team to conduct more of this kind of workshops in future to enhance their clinical skills. After successful completion of this workshop, valedictory function and participants certificates distribution was done by the resource person. Dr. M.
