Institute of Physiotherapy, Srinivas University organized a hands-on workshop on Visceral Manipulation on 10th and 11th January 2023. The aim of the workshop was to analyse bio-mechanics of visceral organs and understand viscera-somatic relationship and its influence on spinal & extremity pain. The workshop was held at city campus, Pandeshwar, Mangaluru.Dr. Rajasekar S, Dean of Institute of Physiotherapy addressed all the participants and introduced them to the resource person Dr. Prem Venkatesan. The workshop started with a brief outline on visceral manipulation and the relations of pain with the visceral organs of human body. Following this, practical and hands on skills demonstration was performed by resource person and participants practiced the techniques under his supervision. The participants were felicitated with certification of participation Around 25 participants attended the workshop with great enthusiasm. The workshop was very effective and informative.
