REPORT ON TALENTS DAY

Srinivas University, Institute of Physiotherapy along with its sister Institutions celebrated Talents Day on February 16, 2025 at Mukka campus. On this occasion, Srinivas University honoured the renowned Kambala champion, Padavu Kanadka Dooja, a buffalo that has won 69 medals and claimed the championship title six times.Speaking at the event, Dr. CA. A. Raghavendra Rao, honourable chancellor of Srinivas University, extended his best wishes to Padavu Kanadka Dooja, who has now retired from racing due to health reasons. He emphasised that honouring this champion, which has significantly contributed to the cultural heritage of Tulunadu, is a matter of great pride.The Honourable Pro-chancellor, Dr. A Srinivas Rao, along with trustee members of Srinivas University, Smt. A. Vijayalakshmi R Rao and Prof. Er. A. Mithra S. Rao, felicitated Padavu Kanadka Dooja with great respect. On this occasion, the buffalo’s owner, Dolphy D’Souza, was also honoured on stage with a special felicitation. Additionally, all members of the Kambala racing team were recognised and appreciated.The event was graced by Srinivas University Registrar Dr. Anil Kumar, Registrar (Evaluation) Dr. Srinivas Mayya D, Registrar (Development) Dr. Ajay Kumar, Dr Jayashree Bolar, Assistant Registrar and event coordinator Dr. Pavithra Kumari, the Deans, faculty members, students from various colleges of Srinivas University, and Kambala enthusiasts were present.Following this, the students of various Institutions showcased their talents as part of Talents day competition. A total of 14 teams participated in this event. Winners and runners were appreciated with the trophy and cash prize.
