Inauguration of SRISTICA, Civil Engineering Students Association of Srinivas University was organised at Mukka, Mangaluru, Karnataka on Friday, 26 November. Young Entrepreneur, Youth Icon, Leading Civil Engineering Contractor of Coastal Karnataka, Alumni of Srinivas University College of Engineering & Technology, Vice President of Dakshina Kannada District BJP Yuva Morcha, MD of Kateel Constructions, Er Shri Abhilash Shetty Kateel inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.Dr Senthil Kumar, Head of IQAC Srinivas University & HoD of Comp Sc Engg Dept presided over the program. Dr Praveen B M (Director, Research), Dr Ramakrishna Hegde (HoD, Dept of Civil Engineering), Prof Shrinath Rao K (Coordinator, SRISTICA), Delson D'Souza (President, SRISTICA), Nishchay B L (Secretary, SRISTICA), Shivaraj Patil (Treasurer, SRISTICA), Priyanka H B (Female Representative, SRISTICA) and Rakshith M R (Vice President, SRISTICA) were on the dias. Dr. Ramakrishna Hegde delivered welcome address and keynote address. Prof K. Shrinath Rao introduced the Chief Guest to the gathering and conveyed best wishes of Indian Constitution Day. In his inaugural address, Er Abhilash Shetty Kateel recalled his student life at SUCET, Mukka. He advised the students to follow the principles of Swamy Vivekananda Ji in their life in order to achieve success. Abhilash Shetty also said that during his College days itself he was visiting the construction sites and had the dream of starting his own company. He shared his professional experience of successfully completing 30 projects and another 25 ongoing projects including residential apartments, commercial buildings and Postcard Hotel Project at Maravanthe in Karnataka. Abhilash Shetty also said that India is coming up with progressive infrastructural development projects and hence there are lots of opportunities for Civil Engineering professionals at present and in future too. He added that there are many Girls who are successfully doing Construction Contract Works. Abhilash Shetty advised the students to get into Quality Work with Social Responsibility, Sustainable Development and Green Construction Technology in order to give good contribution to the Society and Nation. Dr. Praveen B M said that Er Abhilash Shetty Kateel is a Role Model Young Entrepreneur to the Civil Engineering Students Community. In his Presidential remarks, Dr. Senthil Kumar congratulated the students for preparing Civil Engineering Models. He said that Civil Engineers can start their own ventures hence can provide job opportunities to others. Certificates were awarded to the prize winners of Civil Engineering Model Making Competition.Er Abhilash Shetty Kateel was honoured by SRISTICA for his significant achievement within the short period of 5 years. SRISTICA President Delson D'Souza administered oath to the newly elected office bearers of SRISTICA. Prasad Devadiga performed the invocation. Prof Prasanna P. Rao delivered Vote of Thanks.Miss Tanya Girish and Miss Nidhi Keni compered the program. ಮುಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ ಯುನಿವರ್ಸಿಟಿ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಆಂಡ್ ಟೆಕ್ನಾಲಜಿಯ ಸಿವಿಲ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಸಂಘಟನೆ ಸ್ರಷ್ಠಿಕ,2021-22,ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ, ನವೆಂಬರ್ 26 ರಂದು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸಿವಿಲ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಹಳೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ, ಕರಾವಳಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಯುವ ಸಿವಿಲ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಂಟ್ರಾಕ್ಟರ್, ಕಟೀಲ್ ಕನ್ಸ್ಟ್ರಕ್ಷನ್ಸ್ ಆಂಡ್ ಡೆವಲಪರ್ಸ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಆಡಳಿತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಯುವ ಮೋರ್ಚಾ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಭಿಲಾಷ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಕಟೀಲ್ ರವರು ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು. ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಆಂತರಿಕ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಭರವಸೆ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರು ಹಾಗೂ ಕಂಪ್ಯೂಟರ್ ಸೈನ್ಸ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಡಾ. ಸೆಂಥಿಲ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ರವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಡಾ. ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ಬಿ. ಎಂ (ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು, ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ವಿಭಾಗ, ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ), ಡೆಲ್ಸನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ (ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು, ಸ್ರಷ್ಠಿಕ), ನಿಶ್ಚಯ್ ಬಿ. ಎಲ್ (ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ, ಸ್ರಷ್ಠಿಕ), ಶಿವರಾಜ್ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ (ಖಜಾಂಚಿ, ಸ್ರಷ್ಠಿಕ), ಕುಮಾರಿ ಪ್ರಿಯಾಂಕ ಎಚ್. ಬಿ (ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿ, ಸ್ರಷ್ಠಿಕ), ಹಾಗೂ ರಕ್ಷಿತ್ ಎಂ. ಆರ್ (ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು, ಸ್ರಷ್ಠಿಕ) ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.ಸಿವಿಲ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಡಾ. ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣ ಹೆಗಡೆ ಯವರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಅಭ್ಯಾಗತರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕ ಭಾಷಣವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಸ್ರಷ್ಠಿಕ 2021-22ರ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ. ಕೆ. ಶ್ರೀನಾಥ್ ರಾವ್ ರವರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಭಿಲಾಷ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಕಟೀಲ್ ರವರನ್ನು ಸಭೆಗೆ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿದರು, ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಂವಿಧಾನ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೋರಿದರು.ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಭಾಷಣವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಭಿಲಾಷ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಕಟೀಲ್ ರವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಈ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಐದು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದಿನ ತಮ್ಮ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಜೀವನದ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ಮೆಲುಕು ಹಾಕಿದರು. ಇಂದಿನ ತನ್ನ ಸಾಧನೆಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಹೆತ್ತವರ ಹಾಗೂ ಈ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸಿವಿಲ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನವೇ ಕಾರಣ. ನಾನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗಲೇ ತನ್ನದೇ ಆದ ಕಟ್ಟಡ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸುವ ಕನಸನ್ನು ಕಂಡಿದ್ದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ನಾನು ಕಟ್ಟಡ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರತನಾಗಿದ್ದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತು: ನನಗೆ ನೂರು ಶಕ್ತಿವಂತ ಯುವಕರನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರೆ ನಾನು ಭವ್ಯ ಭಾರತವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಭಾರತವು ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯುವಕರನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ಭರಿತವಾದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ. ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರಗತಿಪರ ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಸಿವಿಲ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಫುಲವಾದ ಅವಕಾಶವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಂಡು, ಸುಸ್ಥಿರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ, ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂವಹನದ ಮೂಲಕ, ಹಾಗೂ ಉತ್ತಮ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಿವಿಲ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ವ್ರತ್ತಿಪರರು ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿದೆ. ಇಂದು ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು, ಕಟ್ಟಡ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮತ್ತು ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮಂತಹ ಯುವಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಯುವತಿಯರು ಭವಿಷ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಂತ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಾವಕಾಶವನ್ನು ನೀಡುವಂತಾಗಬೇಕು. ದ್ರಢ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ, ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ, ಛಲ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವೇ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿನ ಮಂತ್ರ. ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸದಾ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ, ನೂತನವಾಗಿ ಚುನಾಯಿತರಾದ ಸ್ರಷ್ಠಿಕ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಶುಭವನ್ನು ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು.ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾದ ಡಾ. ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ಬಿ. ಎಂ. ರವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಇಂದಿನ ಸ್ರಷ್ಠಿಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಥಗರ್ಭಿತವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹುರಿದುಂಬಿಸಿದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಭಿಲಾಷ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಕಟೀಲ್ ರವರು ಇಂದಿನ ಯುವಜನತೆಗೆ ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಅವರ ಅನುಭವವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವಂತಾಗಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಡಾ. ಸೆಂಥಿಲ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ರವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಸಿವಿಲ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ ಮಾದರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು. ಯುವಕರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಂತ ಉದ್ದಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸುವ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳು ಸಿವಿಲ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ, ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿರ್ಧಿಷ್ಟವಾದ ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಜ್ಞಾನಾರ್ಜನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿಮ್ಮ ವ್ರತ್ತಿಪರ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ, ಸಿವಿಲ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಮಾದರಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಾತ್ಯಕ್ಷಿಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾದರಿ (ಮೋಡೆಲ್) ರಚನೆ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜೇತರಾದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಪ್ರೊ. ಶಿಲ್ಪಾ ಎಸ್. ರವರು ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜೇತರಾದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಸಭೆಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಅತ್ಯಲ್ಪ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿವಿಲ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಣನೀಯ ಸಾಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ, ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ, ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಭಿಲಾಷ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಕಟೀಲ್ ರವರನ್ನು ಸ್ರಷ್ಠಿಕ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಸ್ರಷ್ಠಿಕ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಡೆಲ್ಸನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ರವರು ಸ್ರಷ್ಠಿಕ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞಾ ವಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ದೇವಾಡಿಗ ರವರು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರೊ. ಪ್ರಸನ್ನ ಪಿ. ರಾವ್ ರವರು ವಂದನಾರ್ಪಣೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
